Everett E. Johnson

Everett E. Johnson is a master leather craftsman, visionary artist, and stylist hailing from East St. Louis, Illinois. Rooted in a legacy of elegance and strength, Everett's creative path was shaped early by the influence of three extraordinary women: his mother, Carla L. Johnson, and his grandmothers, Annie Liza Moore and Willie B. Taylor. These women, always impeccably dressed and exuding quiet regality, became his first muses, showing him the power of poise, presentation, and personal style.

Gifted a business by his parents, Everett stepped confidently into the world of fashion and entrepreneurship, quickly rising to prominence as a sought-after stylist. With nearly three decades of experience, his artistry evolved into something even more personal: Liza B., a luxury leather handbag line named in honor of the women who inspired his journey.

Since 2009, Everett has been creating timeless, handmade leather pieces that blend couture principles with a modern sensibility. Each Liza B. piece is not just an accessory; it’s an heirloom. His designs have graced the walls of prestigious galleries and the arms of style icons such as Thelma Golden, Diane von Furstenberg, and the late André Leon Talley.

Through Liza B., Everett honors his lineage and brings forward a legacy of excellence, offering bespoke craftsmanship that tells a story of heritage, artistry, and enduring beauty meant to be passed down through generations.

In addition to designing, Everett is committed to sharing his wisdom, craftsmanship, and artistic vision with aspiring art students, empowering the next generation of creative innovators.
